About Ravi

Ravi

For over 30 years, Ravi Wazir has led strategy and implementation in a diverse range of businesses through their start-up, growth and turnaround. He has been driving transformative change, operational excellence & business growth in the sector since he graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai in 1988 and later attended the SMEP at IIM, Ahmedabad. As an entrepreneur, Ravi founded Sun Catering for packed executive meals and event catering.

Having served as an employee, an entrepreneur and a consultant, Ravi now mentors leaders in decision making and problem solving using the Intrapreneurial / Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) mindset. He currently consults with Food & Beverage companies helping them in the planning & execution of their start-up and growth strategies via full-time business-head roles, mid-term consulting over a few weeks/months, and also single-day advisory & mentoring sessions. He also conducts leadership interventions (sector-agnostic), through one-on-one coaching and group workshops.

Ravi has written for Forbes India & DNA Money, spoken at The Indian Chamber of Commerce & IIM-Ahmedabad, and coached at organizations including Carnival Support Services India, General Mills, NIS Sparta, etc. He finds the adoption levels of new ideas varying, based on the individual drive and rigour of each participant. Ravi is also the Author of “Restaurant Startup: A Practical Guide” currently in its 3rd edition on Amazon.

Ravi has worked with a diverse range of businesses from Restaurants to FMCGs, and from Catering services to QSRs, at various points in their life-cycle including: Izumi (Anil & Nooresha Kably, Neale Murray, Owen Roncon), The Olive Bar & Kitchen (A.D.Singh), Swati Snacks (The Zaveris), Sarda Farms (Shrirang Sarda), Bliquid (Vir Kotak), Cafe Ritazza (The Compass Group, UK), Desi Deli (Radhakrishna Hospitality Services), The Tasty Tangles (Jumeirah Group, Dubai), The Sports Bar (Galaxy Entertainment) & the erstwhile Taj Birdys (Sanjay Narang).

His journey of fitness through sports, NCC, yoga, and martial arts, enables others deal with workplace challenges and build a strong system within, through both his business consulting as well as his leadership interventions.

His goal is to help leaders succeed in their business goals by becoming the best version of themselves!

Ravi was born and raised in Bandra, Mumbai where he presently lives with his wife and 2 kids.
